Immunizations (In Store)

Waynesboro Apothecary provides a full range of immunizations with no appointment necessary. Our pharmacists are fully trained to screen, administer, and counsel patients on vaccines, ensuring you and your family stay up-to-date. In Pennsylvania, pharmacists are authorized to administer the influenza vaccine to patients aged 9 and older, while all other vaccines are available for those 18 and older.

Comprehensive Medication Review

What is a comprehensive medication review?

Medication therapy management services, provided by health insurance companies, are designed to help members achieve the best possible outcomes from their medications. These services include an annual medication review, where a pharmacist evaluates your prescriptions, supplements, and over-the-counter medications for safety and effectiveness. We check for potential drug interactions, duplications, side effects, and opportunities for cost savings. It’s also an excellent time to ask questions and optimize your medication regimen. We call this your yearly medication check-up, and it’s essential to ensure your medication needs are being met and any concerns are addressed.

How does it work?

If you’re eligible for a medication review or related services, we’ll reach out to you by phone or in person at the store. We will arrange a convenient time to discuss your medications, either in person or over the phone. After the review, we’ll collaborate with you and your doctor, if needed, to address any medication-related concerns. If necessary, we can also schedule a follow-up appointment to further address or monitor any changes. You’ll receive a mailed copy of your medication list and a summary of our discussion. This serves as a helpful tool for continuing the conversation with your doctor if you have additional questions. At Chambers’ Apothecary, we are dedicated to your overall health, and these yearly reviews provide an excellent opportunity to optimize your medications!
